Facilitator Information

Educators who have completed a phase one Storychasers' workshop are eligible to apply to become a co-facilitator and lead facilitator. Co-facilitators are provided for workshops with 20-25 participants. Co-facilitators are expected to:
  1. Assisting participants with individual needs during the workshop on a just-in-time basis
  2. Assisting the lead facilitator with workshop needs as required
Lead facilitators are responsible for:
  1. Teaching all modules of the workshop
  2. Working with on-site, technical support personnel to insure software, hardware, and network connections work properly for participants
Each Storychaser workshop is led by a lead facilitator, who is assisted by an on-site, technical support assistant.

Currently employed educators can work for Storychasers as facilitators in two different capacities:
  1. On school district/organization release time: If your school/organization agrees to provide you with release time to co-facilitate a COV workshop, COV will pay your meals, mileage, and hotel costs associated with presenting the workshop. *
  2. On personal leave / vacation time: If you take personal leave or vacation time to co-facilitate a COV workshop, in addition to paying for your meals, mileage, and hotel costs associated with presenting the workshop COV will also pay you an honorarium for up to 20 hours of work per workshop. COV pays $25 per hour for co-facilitators, which is typically $500 for 20 hours of work.
Lead and co-facilitators must submit a completed W-9 form to Storychasers. Print the W-9 form, complete it, and either scan and  email (to storychasers [at] gmail [dot] com) or snailmail it to us as soon as possible.
